Approximately 2,000 tickets still remain for Toledo's home-opening football game with arch-rival Bowling Green on Saturday. The Rockets (1-1) host the Falcons (1-1) in the Battle of I-75 at the Glass Bowl at 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:30. Fans are urged to arrive early in order to avoid heavy traffic at game time.
The Ticket Office at Savage Arena will be open this week from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.utrockets.com or by phone at 419-530-GOLD (4653). Season tickets are also still available.
UT students have free admission with their valid student I.D. Students enter at Southwest and Southeast gates only. Students are also urged to arrive early to avoid lines into the stadium.
All Rockets fans are reminded to wear gold Rocket gear as part of the "Be Bold, Wear Gold" promotion.
The following parking areas near the Glass Bowl will be closed to the general public and available by parking pass only beginning at 7:00 a.m. on game day: Areas 5, 6, 7, 9, 10. Parking areas 3, 4, 18, 28 will be closed at12:00 noon to allow for football parking by pass only.
General parking is available for all other lots beginning at 4:00 p.m. Fans coming to the game are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best possible parking spaces. Area 25 on Secor Road and Areas 19 and 20 on Douglas Road (near the Engineering Building) are the largest open lots on campus and should provide fans with the best chance for a good parking spot. Visitors who will bring RVs to the game should park in area 20 or 25.
Access to the ticket office at Savage Arena will be allowed until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The ticket office is open from noon until 5:00 on game day, and opens at the Glass Bowl at 5:30 p.m. Will Call is available at Savage until 5:00 and then re-opens at the Glass Bowl at 5:30.
