Today dozens of students and faculty from Owens community college are giving back to local communities.
This is all part of the project- "Owen's day of caring."
This morning Owen's volunteers will roll up their sleeves and work together on a variety of projects at the family house Toledo and Otterbein skilled nursing and rehab.
They'll be moving mulch, cleaning out storage areas while engaging with community members. These community outreach activities are all taking place in conjunction with the united way's week of caring initiative. The Owen volunteer team is among a number of organization working to strengthen communities through the efforts of the united way of greater Toledo.
