Autopsy results reveal more gruesome details of how a Sandusky mother and her two young kids died in their home about a week ago.
According to the autopsy, the three year old girl was not only strangled to death, but also sexually assaulted.
The prosecutor says more charges could soon be filed against the accused killer, an ex-convict who was friends with the mom since he was released from prison in February.
"It's a horrific case," says Kevin Baxter, Erie County Prosecuting Attorney. "It's extremely tragic."
Baxter released the autopsy results Friday in the high profile triple homicide in Sandusky.
According to the coroner, 23-year-old Heather Jackson was strangled to death with intertwined red shorts and grey lace panties. She was found dead between a mattress and box springs inside her John Street home.
Heather's 18-month-old son Wayne was found dead in a closet strangled with a pink fleece blanket.
Heather's three-year-old daughter Celina, also dead in the closet, was strangled with a pair of black knit leggings.
Plus, the autopsy shows that Celina was sexually assaulted.
"There were injuries that were consistent with some type of sexual abuse," says Baxter.
Baxter says more tests need to be done to determine if the mother was raped.
"Every detail that comes out makes it that much harder, that much sicker," says Nick Fee, Heather's brother.
Fee says the man accused of killing his sister, niece, and nephew should face the death penalty.
41-year-old Curtis Clinton is in the Erie County Jail on $3 million bond on three counts of aggravated murder and one count of rape from an unrelated incident.
A grand jury meets next week to formally indict Clinton. That grand jury will also decide if Clinton could face the death penalty.
To face the death penalty, the crime would have to meet certain specifications.
"Murder two or more people, also another is purposely killing someone 13 years of age, and if another aggravated felony such as a rape or burglary was committed while in the course of the murder," says Baxter.
"He should get the death penalty. There's no doubt about it," says Fee.
