Dog warden worker charged with animal abuse out of jail

TOLEDO, Ohio -
An employee of the Lucas County Dog Warden's office is out of jail.
Aaron Nova is accused of abusing a dog and was sentenced in August to six months behind bars for a probation violation in an unrelated domestic violence incident.
The Toledo Blade reports Nova is out on bond, but will probably be on paid administrative leave from his job.
He was caught on camera grabbing a dog by the throat and throwing the animal in a kennel. The dog has since been adopted.
