State Farm reps in Toledo were trying to keep kids safe behind the wheel Saturday.
The insurance company held a Celebrate My Drive Event at Saint Ursula Academy.
Experts say car crashes are the number one killer for American Teenagers. State Farm reps stressed the importance of not texting while driving and also asked teens to sign a safe driver pledge.
Local State Farm Agent Jeff Traudt says, "If this event saves one precious Toledo teenager from being in a serious car accident, getting injured, getting killed or hurting their friends then this was well worth the event."
More than 300 events like this were held around the country.
