The Church of St. Andrew's hosted the Pets in Poverty fundraiser Sunday.
The church youth group put on the event to benefit the Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank.The event included a pet food drive with a goal to collect 2,000 pounds of pet food.
The Humane Ohio Pet Food Bank distributes more than 71,000 pounds of pet food each year.

Toledo police shot and killed a man with a gun early Thursday morning. Police say officers were patrolling in the 1000 block of Page Street around 12:30 when they saw a man pointing a gun at a woman.
