Local Islamic leader condemns violence, says video should not be shown

Posted: Updated:
PERRYSBURG, Ohio -

Organizers of this weekend's International Festival say local Muslims are using this weekend to share Islamic beliefs in the wake of recent attacks against Western targets worldwide.

They insist the Islamic community rejects all types of violence.

Dr. Mahjabeen Islam President of the Islamic Center said,  "The Toledo Muslim community and Muslims worldwide reject any kind of violence that is done in the name of Islam, specifically rejects, condones, especially killing in the name of Islam."

Doctor Islam also says the video that sparked anger overseas only served to divide and kill and should not be shown.
