A former coach for Kalida Schools faces felony charges stemming from allegations he solicited sexual contact from three underage girls. Jeremy Stober, 41, was indicted on multiple charges Monday, including gross sexual imposition, sexual battery, and tampering with evidence.
Residents in the small Putnam County town are is disbelief.
Lisa Donaldson called the indictments "shocking," while another resident, Ben Schumaker says, "it's such a small town, you know everybody. Just when you think you know people."
Kalida district leaders tell us Stober is on unpaid leave during the investigation. He was also relieved of his technology coordinator, volleyball, basketball, and baseball coaching duties until further notice.
The district's superintendent says, because the case is a criminal investigation involving students, the district has no comment.
At this time, additional information about his background with the school is unknown. He is set to go before a judge again, October 18, 2013.
