For the second time this year, comic book legend Stan Lee has cancelled a speaking engagement in Toledo.
The man known for creating Spiderman, Iron Man and other popular superheroes was slated to speak at the Stranahan next week to a sold out crowd, but today he said he's out.
In a statement, Lee says, "Due to last-minute scheduling conflicts and personal matters, regretfully and unfortunately, I will not be available to attend the Toledo library event on Thursday, September 27. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for all those involved."
The Toledo-Lucas County Library says it will issue refunds. Ticket holders need to go to the customer service desk at any branch with the original ticket.
