Gray Wolves Finish 6th at WHAC Jamboree

Lourdes University finished up the 36-hole Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference jamboree on Saturday with a sixth place finish after posting a round of 360 at Gateway Golf Club in Romulus, Mich.

The Gray Wolves finished the tournament, which was played over two courses, at 719 while Madonna won the team title at 662, one stroke ahead of Indiana Tech.

Brooke Darah (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) led the way for Lourdes, firing a second round 84 over the 5,839-yard, par-72 layout to finish in a tie for sixth place.  She finished the tournament at 165, six strokes behind champion Megan Garlson of Indiana Tech.

Heather Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) posted a top-20 finish, tying for 19th place after carding her second consecutive 88.  Kallie Breyfogle (Holland, Ohio/Southview H.S.) and Roberta Craider (Brecksville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan H.S.) each turned in second round 94s to finish at 188 and 190 respectively.

Lindsay Lehman (Bowling Green, Ohio/Otsego H.S.) added a 98 to finish at 204 while Haley Steiner (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert H.S.) shot 115 to finish at 221 for the weekend.

Lourdes will return to action on Thursday for WHAC Jamboree #3, hosted by Aquinas.  Play will begin at 1 p.m. at Scott Lake Golf Club in Comstock Park, Mich.
