13abc is once again a media sponsor for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. This year the walk takes place on October 6th.
Helping support national research with local involvement is the primary goal of JDRF Northwest Ohio.
Diane Larson is the honorary chair for the event.
Each year, more than 2,000 participants "Walk for a Cure" at the Northwest Ohio walk sites.
Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Ottawa Park in Toledo walkers can choose a one mile or 3.5 mile route. New this year Radio Disney will provide their 'Family Fun Zone' entertainment complete with music, prizes and more.
There will also be bounce houses, face painting, and other activities. Registration begins at 9 a.m., walk at 10 a.m. and closing ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
