Posted: Updated:

St. John's Jesuit High School has hired Lori Yaross as the Titans' new Varsity Swimming Coach, Director of Athletics Bob Ronai announced Tuesday. Yaross will fill the role of Varsity Swimming Coach at Notre Dame Academy as well.

"With 10 years of coaching experience at the high school level, Lori brings a wealth of knowledge to the table," Ronai said. "I have no doubt that Lori will lead our swimming program to achieve great things."

Yaross has served as head coach for the Dundee Dragons Club Team since 2007 and formerly was the Varsity Swimming and Diving Coach at Erie Mason High School, where she was named Coach of the Year in 2007. Previous to that, Yaross coached at Wickliffe High School in northeast Ohio, first as an assistant from 2002-04 and then as the head coach from 2004-07.

An accomplished swimmer, Yaross was a record-holder and state qualifier at Erie Mason during her sophomore, junior and senior years from 1997-1999. She then went on to continue her career at Cleveland State University, where she was named a team captain as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Yaross earned her Bachelor's degree in education from Cleveland State in the spring of 2005.
