Pres. Obama outlines plans for America at BGSU

Posted: Updated:

Nearly 5,600 people packed the Stroh Center to hear President Obama's plan for the next four years, if he gets the chance.  "It's not just a choice between two parties and two candidates," said Obama. "It's a choice between two fundamentally different paths for America."

Boosting the middle class and the economy are two of his top goals, and he highlighted a five point plan to do it.  It includes shipping out more goods but keeping more jobs in America, creating better energy policies and educational opportunities, and expanding healthcare to everyone.

"We do believe in an America where everybody gets a fair shot and everybody is doing their fair share and everybody's playing by the same set of rules," Obama commented.

The president also used some of the time to criticize his opponent.  The Commander in Chief believes Romney's leadership would help America's wealthiest citizens, but hurt middle class families.

The most recent Quinnipiac Poll shows Obama with a 53 to 43 lead over Mitt Romney, but the numbers are still close.  The next 40 days are crucial for both candidates, in hopes of getting a victory in a very critical state.
