According to the Toledo Police officers were called to the 1300 block of N. Michigan on the report of a person breaking into a vehicle. The suspect, Darrell James Parnell, was 19, was confronted by the

Neighbors in the area surrounding an early-morning police shooting say they're fed up with the crime.
TOLEDO, Ohio -
Darrell James Parnell, 19, was shot by a Toledo Police Officer investigating a report of a vehicle break-in.
The owner of the vehicle that was the target of the break-in says she's only lived in the neighborhood for a week.
Amy Foltz says a neighbor called police when they saw Parnell breaking into her car. She says she's thankful she wasn't directly involved in the incident she is however concerned for the family.
"It's sad whoever it is that their life was taken, but I feel the pain for the family, I don't know who they are, but I feel the pain. I lost a family member and it sucks, but that's not right. You can't mess with other people's property and think it's ok."
Police confiscated the car as part of their investigation.
