HOUGHTON, MICH. - The University of Findlay women's soccer team fell 2-1 on Friday, Sept. 28 to Michigan Tech in Houghton, Mich.
The Huskies scored their first goal in the eighth minute, then their second in the tenth minute and never looked back. By the time the Oilers got on the board, it was too late.
Megan Gallaway scored Findlay's only goal in the 67th minute when she headed a Katie Burke corner kick into the back of the net.
Kelsea Corns had a bust night between the posts saving 10 shots on goal. Her record moves to 2-4-1 on the season.
With the loss, the Oilers overall record drops to 2-4-1 with a 2-0-1 mark in GLIAC play. Their next match will be Sunday when they travel to Northern Michigan.
