Being the first day of early voting in Ohio, voters in the Perrysburg Schools District got a first crack at voting on a levy request.
It's a levy that's been increasing each year since 2008. The district is asking voters to approve another incremental increase running through 2015.
On average, it will cost the owner of a $200,000 home roughly $26 a month.
If voters say no, the superintendent has announced the district will have to cut almost $6 million and nearly 100 positions.
The cuts would be accomplished by shortening the school day, increasing class size, eliminating all-day kindergarten and high school bussing, and implementing a full pay-to-play program for all extracurricular activities.
