Bowling Green Police filed charges against two men in association with the assault of a police officer Wednesday.
The first suspect, Jason Tello, plays football at Ohio Northern University. He was involved in a foot pursuit with an officer in September after he allegedly provided false information to police.
During the pursuit, another man, Joseph Castro, assaulted the officer chasing Tello.
Both men then fled the scene.
Castro and Tello were arrested Tuesday. Tello faces one count of tampering with evidence. Castro faces one count of assaulting an officer.
