TOLEDO, Ohio -

Busted with cocaine! Local authorities take down a major cocaine organization. A federal indictment naming 28 people was unsealed today. Authorities say this organization brought bricks upon bricks of cocaine into our area

These are just a few of the suspects arrested this morning for allegedly selling drugs throughout northwest Ohio. According to a 21-page federal indictment the suspects sold cocaine and marijuana.

Authorities say the organization involved multiple states from Ohio to Illinois, Texas and New Mexico and included local cities like Toledo, Fremont, Perrysburg, Oak Harbor, Oregon,  and Northwood.

"You will see in the indictment that the use of semi trucks and trailers were used to conceal and transport both drugs and us currency which was proceeds of illegal drugs sells back and forth to Texas and beyond," said Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas Weldon.

The indictment states the suspects were also caught with cash and guns.

"This group crossed boards to deliver this poison directly into our community. We need to be very vigilant to keep these guns out of the hands of felons," said U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Steven Dettelbach.

Federal agents along with various law enforcement agencies started working on this case 2002. They have a message for other drug dealers.

"We might not get you right away we're coming," said DEA agent Kevin Graber.

All the suspects are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to sell cocaine and marijuana.

Authorities arrested nine suspects this morning.  They're still looking for the others named in the indictment.  Investigators say if you're named in the indictment they want you to call them at 419-259-6490.
