NEW LOCAL NEWS

1. LIFESTYLES CLOSES

Some local women went for their afternoon workout but when they showed up, they found their fitness club closed. The sign at Lifestyles for Ladies Only on Monroe and Talmadge reads "Business Closed until further notice." We reached out to the club to find out what's going on. Its website says the club is supposed to be open until 7pm on Fridays. No one answered the phone when we called.

2. HATE CRIME

The government has filed hate-crime charges against an Indiana man suspected of started a fire at the Islamic Center of Toledo. Authorities accuse Randolph Linn of St. Joe of intentionally damaging property because of its religious character. The arson fire extensively damaged the mosque when it started in the prayer room on September 30th.

3. BODIES FOUND

A woman discovered the bodies of her brother and sister earlier this afternoon inside her Toledo home. TPD detectives and fire officials recovered two people at 4868 Ventura Drive. But the cause of death is still under investigation. Neighbors say three people, two sisters and a brother, have lived there for years. Neighbors tell us the siblings were likely in their 70s but police haven't confirmed that. Police didn't find any traces of carbon monoxide and say foul play doesn't look like a factor.

4. DEADLY SHOOTING

Toledo police have released the name of the victim in a deadly overnight shooting. It happened around 3am in the Ravine Park Village off Seaman Street. Investigators say Jonathan Morris Jr. was found shot in the parking lot after a confrontation. Police say at least one other person was involved. Morris died at the hospital. No arrests have been made.

7. JOBLESS RATE

(AP) - President Barack Obama has highlighted last month's decline in the jobless rate during campaign appearances today. The Labor Department says 114,000 jobs were created last month, pushing the unemployment rate to 7.8 percent, the lowest level since 2009.
