TOLEDO, Ohio -

Customers are puzzled by the closing of a local gym. Especially since the facility was still actively seeking new members.

But, for the second time two years, a Lifestyles For Ladies Only gym has shut its doors without warning.

The abrupt closing of the workout facility on Monroe Street has a lot of women upset. We weren't able to reach management for comment, but several sources say it is only a temporary closure. But customers aren't so sure.

Throughout the day, car after car stopped by the closed workout facility and left disappointed. The equipment is still inside, but signs posted outside say that Lifestyles For Ladies Only is closed until further notice.

New member Amber Ducat was upset. "It's frustrating. I signed a two-year contract and now I have no gym to go to. I've paid so much money so far in the contract and have no place to work out anymore."

In March 2011, Lifestyle For Ladies Only closed their Maumee facility without notice causing an uproar with members. Back then the owner said they could no longer afford the location.

Now, this latest move had many worried about the company's future.

Michael Hassen, who had stopped by to check out the Monroe Street location because his wife wanted to rejoin said, "They said they had a special going on come on in as long as we get it before the weekend you get like $200. I don't know exactly what the deal was but she was gonna come up and sign for it and we brought her here today to check it out and see where it's at, and hello, haha. They closed so that really shocked me, to be honest."

According to the Better Business Bureau, Lifestyles For Ladies Only has an "F" rating and over the past three years, 50 complaints have been filed against the company. Many of those complaints were related to the closing of the Maumee location.

There is one bright spot for members, Red Fitness, formerly Bally's Total Fitness, on Airport Highway says displaced members have full access to their facilities until Lifestyles reopens.
