Bowling Green utility customers are warned not to give out utility account information over the phone.
BG Municipal Utilities has received reports of an unidentified caller offering to save the customer money on their utility bill if the customer provides his or her utility account information.
Officials say this is a scam and customers are urged not to provide any information to unsolicited offers.
The city recommends that any customer who received such a phone call to contact the BG Police at (419) 352-1131.
