The first freeze of the season officially took place Monday morning. The growing season came to an end about a week and a half early. The low temperature fell to 29 degrees in Toledo. 31 degrees was recorded in Hillsdale, Findlay, Lima and at the Toledo Suburban airport. The express airport and Defiance came in just above the freezing mark at 33 degrees. A hard freeze occurred in both Monroe and Adrian with a morning low of 28 degrees.
