COLUMBUS - Four Ohio State Buckeyes have been honored either nationally or by the Big Ten Conference for their efforts in the team's 63-38 win over No. 20/21 Nebraska last week in front of a record crowd of 106,102 at Ohio Stadium.
Simon had seven tackles, including a school record-tying five tackles for losses totaling 24 yards, two sacks and a forced fumble against the Huskers. The effort vaulted him to No. 2 in the Big Ten this week with 7.5 tackles-for-loss (totaling 33 yards). His effort also earned Simon the distinction of being the first Buckeye – ever – to have a five-TFL game and a four-TFL game.
Miller had his fourth game this season – and fifth of his career – of 300-or-more yards of total offense with 313 yards vs. Nebraska. His game included a school quarterback record 186 rushing yards, including runs of 71, 31 and 24 yards, and 127 passing yards. Miller is now second in the Big Ten with 763 rushing yards and he is 11t nationally with 127.1 yards per game. He has scored eight touchdowns and passed for nine while completing 61.5 percent of his passes (83 of 135) for 1,060 yards.
Hyde carried the football a career-high 28 times for a career-best 140 yards and four touchdowns. He scored from the 1, 7, 1 and 16 yard lines with his seven-yarder giving the Buckeyes the lead for good late in the second quarter, 28-24. His four-touchdown game was the first for a Buckeye since Eddie George ran for four against Iowa on Oct. 28, 1995.
Brown's 76-yard punt return for a score broke the game open in the third quarter, giving the Buckeyes a 49-31 lead.
Watch Brown, Hyde and the Buckeyes take down the Huskers again at 8 p.m. ET tonight on BTN's Game of the Week.
