One woman is dead and another is injured after they were hit by a car in east Toledo Saturday night. It happened near the new Hollywood Casino on Miami Street.
One woman is dead and another is injured after they were hit by a car in east Toledo Saturday night. It happened near the new Hollywood Casino on Miami Street.
TOLEDO, Ohio -
A man accused of running over a group of people near the Hollywood Casino this summer has been indicted.
Michael Yates is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
Witnesses say four people, two men and two women, had just finished eating dinner at the Days Inn and started walking to the casino.
That's when police say Yates lost control of his car, which jumped the curve and hit the two women. One died from her injuries.
Officers say Yates may have been on drugs at the time.
