The Huntington Center has announced that tickets for the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Midwest Regional, which takes place March 30-31, 2013, will go on sale to the public beginning Saturday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.
All-session tickets will be $75 for three games and will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, and the Huntington Center and BGSU Box Offices. Two semifinal games will be played on Saturday, March 30 and the regional championship will be played on Sunday, March 31. The winner of the regional championship will advance to the 2013 Frozen Four, April 11-13 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
"Northwest Ohio has shown strong support for hockey between Bowling Green and the Toledo Walleye," BGSU Director of Athletics Greg Christopher said. "Bringing the hockey regional to the area, combined with hosting the NCAA Women's Basketball first and second rounds a year ago, fits into our plan to showcase BGSU on a national stage through NCAA events. We are looking forward to having great crowds at the Huntington Center."
This is the first time Toledo has hosted the NCAA Division 1 Men's Ice Hockey Regional.
"We're very excited to have the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Midwest Regional come to the Huntington Center and to have BGSU as the host," Huntington Center General Manager Steve Miller said. "This is a great event for the city of Toledo and we hope everyone will come out to support this event. Toledo has always had a large hockey fan base and we're pleased to bring NCAA hockey to Toledo."
