Mansfield man killed in crash after running stop sign

Posted: Updated:

A crash in Erie County leaves a Mansfield man dead. It happened a little after 12:30 Tuesday afternoon on State Route 4 at Strecker Road in Groton Township.

State troopers say John Klish, 88, failed to yield at a stop sign. His car was struck on the driver's side by another car. Both vehicles went off the road, landing in a field.

Klish was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car, Robin Reaves, 40, was airlifted to Mercy Saint V's with what troopers describe as incapacitating injuries.
