Toledo's Imagination Station is three years old today, and the learning center is looking ahead to the future.
Six new travelling exhibits are planned for the next five years, including Sesame Street's look at the human body, which is underway now.
Another exhibit scheduled for next May has a lot of people talking. It's called ‘Grossology.'
"The impolite science of the human body," says Imagination Station's Chief Scientist Carl Nelson. "Talking about pimples, warts, and things like that. It's a cool way to get kids excited about the human body and slide a little science in there as well."
Other planned exhibits include an interactive exhibit on the Titanic and one on the history of the world's most popular instrument, the guitar.
The non-profit science center is looking for voters to approval a tax renewal. The five-year 0.17 mill levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home a little more than $5 a year.
Imagination station says the levy is crucial and accounts for more than a third of the center's budget.
