He was acquitted of a double murder in Springfield Township this year, and now Cameo Pettaway is back behind bars. Pettaway faced a judge Monday afternoon.

According to a police report, Pettaway assaulted his girfriend, causing serious injuries to her face. Her injuries were so bad she had to go to the hospital.  But now she victim wants to drop all the charges against Pettaway.

23-year-old Pettaway faced a judge Monday, accused of beating up his girlfriend. Police released the 9-1-1 call from the scared Oregon woman.

Dispatcher: Toledo 911
Caller: I need the cops. My boyfriend just beat the (blank) out of me

According to a police report, the 26-year-old woman says they were in bed and got into a fight over "stupid things." She claims Pettaway "struck her with a closed fist about the head and the sides of her body (ribs) as she was laying on her side."

Caller: Here he comes now he's going to beat me again thanks
Dispatcher: Are there any weapons guns, knives anything like that
Caller: There's a gun in the house
Dispatcher: Does he have it?
Caller: No it's down here

In court Pettaway was charged with felonious assault. His lawyer did all the talking.

"Were you residing with her at the same place," asked Attorney Robert Candiello.  "No I was just staying the night. No," responded Cameo Pettaway.  "He does not reside with her at that location your honor," said Attorney Candiello.

A victim's advocate told the court she talked with the victim this morning. "At this point your honor she basically stated that to me that she wanted all charges dismissed that this case has been blown out of portion."

The victim was told to call the prosecutors office. Judge Jeffery Keller ordered Pettaway to have no contact with the victim. The judge set Pettaway's bond at $25,000 dollars. He will need to post ten percent of that to get out jail. Pettaway heads back to court next week.
