1. BGSU STUDENT DIES

A student at Bowling Green State University is found dead in his room. Now campus police are investigating. In a message to students, faculty and staff, university president Mary Ellen Mazey says 21-year-old Roderick Bartlett, a junior middle childhood education major, died over the weekend. His body was discovered today. There's no word yet how Bartlett died, but Mazey says "there are no signs of foul play." Mazey says the news comes as a shock and that counselors will be available for anyone who needs them.

2. GAS PRICES

(AP) - Ohio motorists are seeing lower gas prices compared with last week. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the state was $3.62 today's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's 14 cents lower than a week ago. Ohioans are paying considerably less than a month ago, when the average price was $3.88.

3. SENATE DEBATE

(AP) - Republican Josh Mandel, who's running for Ohio's U.S. Senate seat, is making it clear that he wouldn't have supported the auto bailout. Mandel and incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown faced off for the first time at a lively and sometimes raucous debate today in Cleveland. Both candidates addressed a question about how the auto bailout has affected Ohio.

4. DRIVE-BY SHOOTINGS

(AP) - Police say three people were wounded in drive-by shootings in Columbus. Officers say the shootings happened just after midnight Monday in three different locations on the east side of town. All three victims were hospitalized, with at least one in critical condition.

5. ZUMBA PROSTITUTION

(AP) - Police in Kennebunk, Maine, have released the first round of names of more than 100 men accused of paying for sex with a Zumba instructor. The release of the 21 names followed 11th-hour legal wrangling. Residents have been anxiously awaiting the release of names since Alexis Wright was charged this month with turning her dance studio into a brothel.

6. HURRICANE WARNING

(AP) - A hurricane warning is up for a swath of Baja California's western coast. Hurricane Paul is now a major Category 3 storm in the Pacific with top winds of 120 mph. In the Atlantic, meanwhile, Rafael reached hurricane strength late Monday in the Atlantic Ocean south of Bermuda.
