Junior wide receiver Bernard Reedy (St. Petersburg, FL) was added to the Biletnikoff Award Official Watch List today. The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to the nation's top receiver. Reedy joins freshman teammate Alonzo Russell on the watch list.
Reedy leads the Rockets with 52 receptions, 666 receiving yards and five touchdown catches this season. He is ranked third in the MAC and 11th in the country in receptions per game, and third in the MAC and 12th nationally in receiving yards.
Reedy was named Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Toledo's 52-47 victory over Eastern Michigan last Saturday. He had a career game in Toledo's 52-47 victory, most of it coming in the third quarter. He snagged a career-best 11 passes and set the UT record with 237 receiving yards. He scored on receptions of 65 and 59 yards. He added an 89-yard kickoff return for a TD for a total of 407 all-purpose yards, also a school record and the third-largest total in MAC history.
Reedy, who leads the MAC in both kickoff and punt returns, also was named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in Toledo's 50-35 victory over CMU on Oct. 6. He had a 66-yard punt return for a TD in the third quarter of that game.
