Rockets Golf Finishes 4th at The Preview

Sophomore Jennifer Elsholz led Toledo to a fourth-place finish at The Preview on Tuesday by tying for a career-best third place. The event featured a field of 15 teams, including eight from the Mid-American Conference, and provided an opportunity for teams to play the course that will serve as the site of the 2013 MAC Championship.

Elsholz fired a team-best three-over par 75 in today's round to finish with a career-low eight-over par 152 (77-75). Freshman Sathika Ruenreong was right behind Elsholz tied for eighth place with a career-best eighth-place showing at 10-over par 154 (77-77). Senior Allison Schultz (82-77=159) and sophomore Stephanie St-Jean (85-77=162) also carded 77s today to finish tied for 20th and 37th, respectively. Also competing for the Rockets was freshman Emily Dixon (79th/90-86=176) with freshman Manisa Isavas tying for 41st place (83-80=163) competing as an individual.

The Rockets finished with a team score of 627 (321-306), just six strokes behind tournament champion Ball State (315-306). The Cardinals' Meghan Perry captured medalist honors at six-over par 150 (77-73).
