Police have released the frantic 911 calls in the deadly Lake Township shooting. Investigators say the first call came in at 9:34pm. The second 911 call came from one of the victims.
LAKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -
Lake Township police say 26-year-old Amber Jones and her 3-year-old son Jorge Duran III were shot and killed during a domestic dispute last night.
Investigators say Ambers estranged boyfriend Jorge Duran Jr. of Toledo was angry the couple broke up in the last couple of weeks and Amber had a new boyfriend.
They say Duran went to Ambers place killed her, then took their son to a second location and killed the 3-year-old and shot three other people.
Police are not releasing the names of the three people who were shot and survived the shooting. Investigators say the surviving victims are a 26 year old male, 49 year old female, and a 39 year old male.
Investigators came face to face with Duran in the parking lot. There was a shootout and Duran was killed. Police say the estranged boyfriend used a 22 caliber semi automatic pistol.
Police administrators are not releasing the names of the two officers who shot and killed Duran. The officers are on paid administrative leave which is a normal departmental procedure when police are involved in a shooting.
