
TOLEDO - Fresh off the upset of previously unbeaten Cincinnati, the Toledo Rockets zoomed up the latest football polls, nearly cracking the Top 25 for the first time since 2001. The Rockets received 49 points in the Associated Press media poll, placing them 26th in the country. The Rockets also garnered 30 points in the USA Today Coaches poll, good for 31st place.
Toledo (7-1, 4-0 MAC) knocked off Cincinnati, 29-23, on Saturday. Going into the game the Beatcats were ranked No. 18 in the coaches poll and No. 21 in the AP poll.
Toledo plays at Buffalo on Saturday.
