We have new information linked to an animal abuse case in Sandusky county. A woman charged with dragging her donkey behind a tractor is no longer allowed to have animals.
The News-Messenger reports a Judge found Virginia Secrist guilty of animal abuse, after allegedly dragging her donkey behind her tractor for a mile. The Judge suspended jail time and fines as long as Secrist surrenders all 14 of her animals.
Secrist cannot own any animals for the next 10 years.
Humane society workers say Henry the donkey was severely hurt after the incident and multiple other animals on the farm were malnourished.
Five donkeys, three horses, a sheep and four goats are all in foster homes.
