TSA replacing body scanners

Posted: Updated:

The TSA is removing some of those controversial body scanners from major airports.

According to the website ProPublica , the x-ray body scanners are being replaced with new machines called millimeter-wave scanners.

They display a generic drawing of a person's body rather than a specific body scan image.

The replacements will go in at JFK International Airport in New York, Chicago O'hare and also at some smaller airports.
