Sophomore Chris Selfridge is one stroke out of first place and Toledo sits atop the leaderboard as a team following Monday's first two rounds of the 28th-annual Georgetown Intercollegiate. The 12-team tournament is being held at The Members Club at Four Streams.
Toledo carded a seven-over par 575 (290-285) on the par-71, 6,952 yard course. Notre Dame is in second place just one stroke behind the Rockets at 576 followed by Michigan State (580) in third place.
Selfridge, who ranks second in the Mid-American Conference with a 72.4 stroke average, trails only Eastern Michigan's Brian Churchill-Smith (69-69=138) after carding a three-under par 139 (69-70) in his first two round. Freshman Otto Black matched his season low with a two-under 69 in the second round and is tied for 10th place at two-over par 144 (75-69). Sophomore Mike Lancaster put together two of his best round of the season and right behind Black tied for 13th place at three-over par 145 (72-73).
Also producing solid rounds for the Rockets were sophomore Jamie Richardson (T-21st/74-73=147) and sophomore Pat Cermak (76-74=150).
The final round will be played tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. start.
