Sprint to the finish line for presidential candidates

Posted: Updated:

It's a tight race in Ohio, and both parties know it.  Vice President Joe Biden spent part of his day at the University of Toledo Tuesday, persuading students and other voters to bet on his party's plan for the next four years.

"Where we come from there's only one direction, that's to move forward not backwards!," said Biden at his rally with more than 700 attendees.

According to a recent Quinnipiac Poll, Obama leads Romney 50 to 45 percent among likely voters in Ohio, down from a ten point lead last month. In other battlegrounds Florida ...Romney is inching ahead.

"If we're going to see real recovery and see that kind of direction, we're going to have to see real change," said Romney earlier on Tuesday on the west coast.

Romney and Ryan were busy on the campaign trail together on Tuesday, visiting voters in Nevada and Colorado.  The GOP candidate used the time to point out his selling points from the last three debates, and how his administration would strengthen the country.

"These debates have supercharged our campaigns," said Romney. "We're seeing more and more enthusiasm, more and more support."

As more undecided voters lock in their choices, both campaigns will make last minute attempts to find more support .  By most accounts Ohio is the most important step on the race to the White House.

Mitt Romney has an event planned at the Defiance High School football stadium on October 25 at 7:50 PM. To get tickets, visit the Defiance GOP Headquarters between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Thursday.  You can also find out ticket information by visiting www.mittromney.com/OH .
