Meat Loaf, country music stars rock at Romney rally in Defiance

Posted: Updated:

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney told a crowd of thousands in Defiance Thursday night that momentum is building and he needs Ohio saying that Ohio is going to set the course of the nation.

Romney invited some famous supporters to help him get out the vote.

Country music star John Rich of Big & Rich, rock legend Meat Loaf, and Randy Owen of Alabama, the biggest band in the history of country music, took the stage in front of more than ten thousand Romney supporters at the Defiance High School football stadium Thursday night.

"Defiance rocks, doesn't it?" Ohio Governor John Kasich told the crowd as he introduced Romney as the man who can restore the American Dream.

Romney made his case to undecided voters with 12 days to go until Election Day.

"We need a president who can make big change. He can't. I will," says Romney. "This is a critical election."

If the sheer number of Romney visits to the state doesn't explain the importance of voters here in determining the winner and the loser, maybe Meat Loaf can.

"We need Ohio!" says Meat Loaf.
