Hurricane Sandy has shifted its track and is now expected to arrive in Ohio as early as Monday night. Rain and snow are possible as the storm begins, but the biggest threat to northwest Ohio will be the winds. Sustained winds are forecasted to be between 35 and 45 mph Monday night into Tuesday morning. Some wind gusts could top 50 mph. The worst impacts will be felt along the lakeshore. Wind gusts may reach 60 mph in north central Ohio along the coast. The extreme winds could snap tree branches and cause scattered power outages. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30s to low 40s during this time.
