The Colonel James Schoonmaker, formerly the Willis. B. Boyer, has a new home.
As part of the Great Lakes Historical Society's plan to open a new National Museum of the Great Lakes, the restored ship was moved from International Park to the site of the new museum on Front Street.
About 150 people rode on the Schoonmaker's last trip down the Maumee River. Since 2009, the ship has undergone a $1.5 million restoration.
