FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (AP) - A motorist who was wounded over the weekend in the latest in a string of shootings in southeastern Michigan says he's lucky - and sore.

Forty-6-year-old Scott Arnold tells the Detroit Free Press it was "pure luck" his injury Saturday while driving to the World Series in Detroit wasn't worse. He was released from the hospital Sunday and sent home to Delton, near Kalamazoo.

Police in a wide stretch of the state are looking for a man suspected in at least 24 shootings, including the one on Arnold. Police added more patrols along the roadway. There were no new reports of shootings as of early Monday.

The shooting on Interstate 96 in Fowlerville was the first that resulted in an injury. Authorities have released a sketch of a suspect.

If a tornado threatens, get into the basement. If you don't have a basement, a small, interior room in the lowest floor of your home is relatively safe. Avoid rooms with windows. Mobile homes are not safe in a tornado.
