TOLEDO - Kendra Eitniear and Jill Burkholder were named First Team All-Region XII in NJCAA D-I women's soccer over the weekend, while Marissa Ramirez and Drew Plummer were named Second Team All-Region XII.
Eitniear received the most votes among Region XII coaches, while Burkholder received the fifth most votes.
Eitniear, a sophomore forward, earned Second Team All-Region XII honors last season. She was the team's leading scorer this year as she finished with 11 goals and four assists. For her career, Eitniear had 32 goals and 12 assists, and she leaves as the program's top career scorer.
Burkholder, a freshman midfielder, was a close second in scoring to Eitniear this year. She finished with eight goals and nine assists.
Ramirez, a freshman defender, had only one assist this year but she helped anchor a defense that produced 10 shutouts this year. Plummer, a sophomore forward, was the team's third leading scorer with five goals and seven assists. She was second on the team in assists.
The Express finished 12-3-3 overall this year. After finishing with the best record during the regular season in Region XII play, the Express saw their season end with a 1-0 loss to Muskegon CC in the Region XII semifinals.
