Post Election Day nor' easter forecasted

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Another powerful storm system is forecasted to take aim at New England for late Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week. Unlike Hurricane Sandy, this new nor' easter is not expected to cause extensive damage, but it will likely cause delays in the clean up process. This storm could bring a storm surge up to 8 feet which is still 5 feet lower than what Hurricane Sandy brought last week. On the other hand, strong winds are expected again. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and 1-2" of rainfall are possible. Cold air will turn the rain over to snow in the higher elevations in Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
