Council votes to keep Fire Station #3 in N. Toledo

Posted: Updated:

Council voted and approved legislation Monday to provide funding for a study to expand and preserve Fire Station #3 at Bush and Erie.

The funding includes money to set up a new fire station that will help the department with response times.

The plan will cost nearly $350,000 and comes comes after much debate. Fire Station 3 is currently in poor condition, with cracks in the floors and walls, and requiring upgrades to be energy efficient.

Neighbors fought hard to keep the station in their area.
