Last day of canvassing for local campaign volunteers

Robin knows time is running out. She traveled from Illinois to Ohio on Sunday to convince local voters to cast a ballot for president Obama.

"I know personally Obama has done a lot for this state, and for our country, saving a million jobs within the auto industry," says Robin Karkowski-Schelar. "It's been really great to talk to people about that here."

Temperatures on Monday night hovered near the freezing mark, but Robin says engaging with voters one on one is enough to keep her going.

"I think it's important to have someone face to face ask you how you're feeling about this election and get people's commitment to vote for President Obama."

In Sylvania Township, it's the same idea with different message.

"It's to get the message out that Mitt Romney is the guy, he's the right guy," says Alfonso Narvaez, a worker with the Romney campaign. "He's a business man, he's got the experience at creating jobs and fixing the economy."

Alfonso has been out since June campaigning for republican Mitt Romney.  Even on Tuesday he plans to track down more undecided voters, in hopes of getting his guy in the office.

"The past four years, things just haven't gone the right way. It's time for a change."

Both canvassers know the months of preparation and hard work come down to November sixth.  But it's worth it if it means a victory for their candidate.
