In Ohio's 5th Congressional District, Republican Bob Latta will be keeping the seat he's had since 2007.
Latta thanked voters for his win, "I'm very very grateful to the voters, citizens of the 5th Congressional District for giving me this honor once again to represent them in Washington. Because you can't ask for a higher honor than to be elected by your peers. I can't thank them enough."
Latta took 60% of the vote in the redrawn district and was declared the winner over Democrat Angela Zimmann and Libertarian Eric Eberly.
Zinmmann thanked her supporters at a gathering in Rossford and wished Latta the best.
"I pray that he does the right thing for the people of Ohio, as always I'm committed to serving and working across the aisle, so I would wish him well and hopes that he serves the people here, absolutely."
