6 suspects in mushroom grow appear in court

The six people charged in a massive mushroom growing operation all appeared in court Thursday afternoon. 

Matthew Thierry, Mikael Stiles, Ian Golbinex, Ronald Hammersmith, Sara Thierry and Autumn Johnson all face charges after a raid on six homes in Lucas County. 

Those raids turned up more than $3 million in illegal mushrooms. 

Golbinex and Sara Thierry entered not guilty pleas. The rest of the defendants had their arraignments reset for next week.

    Toledo firefighters are investigating the cause of a large fire Thursday morning that damaged three vacant homes.  The flames broke out around 2:00 a.m. in the 1000 block of Harding Drive near South Hawley.  Witnesses say flames broke out at one home and then quickly spread to houses on both sides.  No injuries were reported.
