FINDLAY - The University of Findlay women's basketball team defeated Indiana Tech University by the score of 100-62 in an exhibition matchup on Friday, Nov. 9 in Findlay, Ohio.
The Oilers jumped out to a 55-26 lead at the break and then cruised through the second half as they shot 50 percent (39-of-78) from the field and generated 23 assists.
The Oilers also dominated the boards as they held a 50-33 advantage in rebounding, including 23 on the offensive end.
Senior forward Kayla Brown poured in 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting in only 20 minutes of action while senior forward Tai Dotson had 14 points and nine boards.
Junior guard Karli Beasley added 12 points, four rebounds and four steals while junior guard Ashley Andrews had ten points and five assists.
Freshman forward Kelsey Lewis contributed nine points and eight rebounds while sophomore guard Kristin Klausing had seven points and five assists.
The Oilers will open up their season on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at home against Ursuline. The game is scheduled to tip at 5:30 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
