GED cost set to triple

The cost of getting a GED is on the rise.

The fee to take the exam will triple to $120 by January of 2014. Ohio is replacing the paper exam with a new computerized version.

Test-takers have until mid-August to take the cheaper paper test. About 25,000 Ohioans are expected to take the exam next year.
