Tracey Richmond got home around three Monday afternoon to a street full of chaos. "The street was lined up with cars, the fire department, police, paramedics...I didn't know what was going on," she recalls. Just a few houses down, five people were found dead, two adults and three children.
"They were out in their yard raking, having fun in the leaves and now they're dead," says Richmond.
Several neighbors remembered seeing the kids out over the weekend, but didn't know much about the family.
"We knew there was three kids because we'd seen them out there picking up leaves but we didn't suspect something was down there happening at that house," says Bert Lancaster, who's lived on Harvest Lane for 20 years.
At least two people saw a police car at the home on Friday, but it's not clear if the two incidents are connected. Neighbors call the entire loss a tragedy, for the family and the community.
"We don't have this going on here, it's a quiet neighborhood," says Richmond. "Everyone keeps to themselves and it was just a shock."
